How to pray: FaceBook, Twitter, What it isn't, and 6 Steps to Communicating with God.

We're constantly communicating with people. We prove that man is a social animal with the thousand different gadgets to talk and chat. We have computers, FaceBook, SKYPE, instant messengers, cell phones, IPads, and just about anything else possible to stay in touch.

But are we in touch with God? He's the most important person in our life, considering that he created, redeemed, and keeps us alive. Yet numerous excuses jump to mind - I don't have time; I don't know how.
He's not on FaceBook. He doesn't have email. We don't know his cell number. So how can we stay in touch with him?

Prayer! A whole lot could be said on the subject, but let's start with the basics of how to start a conversation with God.

10 Step Holiday Workout: Intense and Full-soul


Christmas is a week away! The Christ child, presents, family, friends, and big meals and more big meals. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pies, cakes, cookies, and candies are only part of the variety on the menu.

For this reason, holiday workouts abound."7 Ways to Sneak in a Holiday Workout" Stay Fit on the Holidays" "Get Movin' Monday" "A Six Minute Holiday Workout" Honestly, I don't think six minutes cuts it to knock off the calories in the ham, stuffing, potatoes, eggnog, and gingerbread cookies.

But there are other ways to get pudgy and soft during the holidays - off work, no more classes, time to rest, and a well deserved vacation. A great way to relax, but when we don't watch it, we forget the reason for the season.

We need a full-soul workout. Here's my simple ten step suggestion:
