A funny combination! Many thought, and some still think, that Tebow shouldn't be in the NFL - he lacks the skill, the finesse.
The NFL and God don't mix at all. How dare the divine take a step on football's sacred turf?! The only one's he seem inseparable are Tebow and God, but some even question that will last. They point at all the other fallen athletes and celebrities.
But "tebowing" has been patented. People all over the country, all over the world, take a knee. Something new has come into being.
The shrine of the NFL's greats has been tainted - he's slow and sloppy, they say. That's the way it was with the Vikings last Sunday too - until the end, when Tebow drove ahead with almost unstoppable and divinely inspired determination.
95 yards to the goal, and each one, a fight. But there was no turning back, and the last 20 he would take himself!
What will happen against the Bears? By the rules of the sacred art of NFL football, he shouldn't win. Experience tells he can't lose. Only God knows.
What will happen with Tim Tebow? We don't need to remember Brett Favre, Mark McGwire, or Barry Bonds. There's enough cheating.

Tebow's square-jawed, strong, unselfish, confident, relentlessly optimistic, and clearly Christian. Win or lose, he'll lay it all out on the field. He'll take a knee and pray and remember football's just a game.
But he's playing at life and winning even bigger!
Mark, this is so well written. I have also spoken to this issue in my blog recently about Tim Tebow :)..
